Good moening

I started my diet a week ago today and I've lost 5 pounds and a quarter...what spurred me on is I had a bit of a health scare last week and had to have an MRI as they thought it could have been a stroke but thank God it wasn't...I now know what I have its  benign positional vertigo..but when I got on the scales and saw that I weighed 24 stones and a pound that scared me...so my best friend Lou and I decided to do this journey together....it's going to be a long road but we will do it 😊...I carry my weight in the middle so I have the face of a size 10 and the body of a larger size lol

  • Im glad your health scare turned out to be something other than a stroke but none the less there but for the grace of god....Its good that this thing happened to help prevent a future catastrophe. Good on ya for taking it seriously and taking action. Well done on the loss too. Good Luck sweetie x

  • Thank you very much x

  • Hi Crazykat67,

I am relieved to hear your MRI results were so positive, and that you have now got a diagnosis to explain your recent healthscare.  That must have been a really worrying time for you.  Really glad you're ok.

Congratulations on losing 5 and a quarter pound over the last week, that is a great start!  Hope your best friend Lou is doing well too.  It's so great that you're embarking on your weight loss journeys together - and we're glad you're alongside all of us in the Weight Loss NHS community forum too.

    Hope you're enjoying the weekend.

    Lowcal :-)

  • Thank you very much lowcal 😊.....Lou is on here she's Loupea on here and it was her who told me about this site and said how supportive everyone is on here and she is right 😊

  • HI Crazykat67,

Oh yes, I didn't realise Loupea was your best friend  'Lou' - it's so great that you're both enjoying the site.

It's definitely a friendly and supportive place.

    Lowcal :-)

  • Well done on your loss, I've got benign positional vertigo,  i was lucky my gp diagnosed it right away and referred me to hospital to have it verified, I'm really lucky it doesn't happen very often, it did at the beginning but not so much now. It's not so scary when you know what it is i hope it doesn't affect your balance too much. It sound as if you're really determined and you'll get to your weight goal sooner rather than later onwards and downwards 😁👍

  • Thank you Rosie.....how long have you been suffering with it?

  • Hi I've had it diagnosed for about3/4year's year's I've had the manipulation on my neck lying down with the dr?turning my head side to side trying to move the debris from whichever tube was blocked it was agony for me because I've got cervical spondylosis and I've got to watch the way I move my neck. I've spoken to others who found the movements alright.it seems to get worse if my sinuses are blocked. I hope that it doesn't affect you too much everyone is different but even when i do get it it usually only lasts a couple of day's and mostly turning in bed take care x rosie
