Hi everyone. I am finally going to try and lose 6 kg's. It might not sound so much, but for me this is huge. I have tried all sorts of things and nothing is working. I am hoping that this forum and all the tips I have found on the NHS lose weight sites will help. Just trying to 'pull it all together' so to speak, in order to make sense of it all. (There is a lot of info' )
I am carrying most of my weight around my middle, a bit on my upper back and arms (Ugh!). I am peri and also stressed so putting it down to that as I don't eat a lot. I hear cortisol is a culprit?
My main food issues are salty foods, which I crave. I have tried pink salt, but just does not taste the same! I suffer a ton of bloating, so am starting yoga in the hope that this helps. Another challenge is exercise as I suffer depression. At least, I am starting, though! Also looking forward the yummy looking guilt-free recipes.
I have (had) a lot to lose, (2 stone down, 2 to go) but the first step was the hardest, learning what to eat and not eat, generally taking control 😊 Like you I didn't really over eat and was generally healthy, but reducing portion size and tweaking my diet as well as a gentle increase in exercise has been the answer. Good luck and well done taking that first, most important step 😊 😊😊
