Not really newbie

Hi all, I've been lurking here for quite a while following your ups and downs, seeing people come and go. I love the motivation and the fact that nobody pulls anyone else down. Of course I'm on my own weight loss journey, wouldn't be here otherwise. Started in Jan 2015 for health reasons and successfully cast off 19.5 kg by the end of October. Struggled in November and lost the plot over Christmas. Since then back on track, but not overly successful.

And that's really the reason I joined up. So many of you seem to be struggling at the moment, some are even giving up. I really think it's because it's winter and we're programmed to pile on the layers of warming fat. We can't resist the high calorie food, the yummy salads, tomatoes, berries just aren't there or don't cut it. So my aim is to struggle on and at a minimum maintain. Then come spring/summer the last kilos are shifting. Is that a promise to myself?

Until then I will enjoy my new-found fitness and the fact I'm 17.5 kg lighter than I was last year.

Don't beat yourselves up, just slog on. Anything is better than doing nothing or giving up.

"Anything is better than doing nothing or giving up."

SO true.

Just doing that extra star jump or going for an unplanned 5 minute walk can help push you forward.

Great to hear from you :)
