OK. .. so starting my new life style as of now!

2st 7llb has slowly piled on over 2 years with endless slimming clubs and fad diets.

I think it's going to be a slow haul to get rid of this unwanted weight but with will power I know I can do it!

First things first.. to put my fitbit on charge 👍

Hi and welcome Tanyia :)

I take it you're going to start the NHS 12 week plan.

Joining this community was your first good move, you couldn't ask for better support :)

As you have a fitbit and are obviously going to embark on an exercise programme may I invite you to join us on our Christmas challenge to reach the North Pole? Here's the link healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

All the very best to you :)

Welcome to the forum, you will find lots of motivation and support here. Steady weight loss may be a little frustrating at times but it is more sustainable than quick fix, faddy diets. As you quite rightly say, none of us put the weight on overnight and shouldn't expect to lose it overnight either. Good luck on your journey.

I started out in June this year at 12st 7lbs and have found that although I would love to see big weight losses every week , I have been losing on average 1lb a week.

Now lost 1 st 9lbs, I find that MyFitnessPal helps me keep track of my calorie and nutrient intake.

You can do it 😀

Hi and welcome. I started my journey at 12st4 and have lost the 2 stone I set out to lose. This forum is ace, and I really recommend the 12 week plan, i lost most of my weight by following that. Just one question though- my starting bmi was 29.5 so yours looks very high for 12st7?

Thank you to all thats replied to my post. It's great to have support and encouragement 😀.

My outlook is more positive and I'm now being honest with myself in respect of the amount of food that I'm consuming will make me put weight on and that secretly eating a bar of chocolate or a nice big cake will have the same outcome.

Honesty is the best policy 👌x

Dear Tanya, it can be done, it will be done. Follow the healthy eating advice on here. Plan meals ahead . Count your calories daily / weekly so that you can still incorporate a few christmas treats if you want them. Get more exercise, even a half hour walk a daycan make a difference . Then check your BMR and TDEE when you get to the final stone and adjust your calories downwards.

It will slowly work.It did for me. I dropped from 12st to 9st 11 over twelve months , BMI 23, and have now maintained it for the past 8months.

YOU CAN DO THIS !!!
