Photo that started it all.

Inspired by Doctorwho68 I thought I would post the photograph that changed my life. At this point I was over 21 stone in weight and it was a shock to see how big I actually was. This was taken in June 2014. The after shot was taken exactly a year later when I had got down to 14 1/2 stone.

I am now just under 13 stones and I am maintaining this weight without too much troubles despite holidays in fact I'm off to France today for a birthday break. I will not worry too much about the diet and just deal with it the instant I'm back home.

It really was this photo that did it. No amount of nagging by family or doctors would have worked and I suppose everyone has to find their own trigger.

Hi Andy, Thanks for posting these. It is an incredible transformation and an inspiring duo of photos. If you can effect that change anyone can.

My father, despite rowing and swimming as a teenager and sailing and skiing well into his middle life by the age of 45 had serious eating issues and he looked a lot like your before photo. He never managed to find his trigger and the last ten years of his life were uncomfortable, depressing for him painful and very very restricted.

You have saved your own life and made it tons better but also you are helping the next generations figure this out for them selves.

Andy, the above comments say it all. I would like to add a big thank you for coming back and posting even though your journey to healthiness is more or less complete. It's really nice of you to take the time to think of us wannabes that are still on the early stages of the journey.

Thank you :)

Doing really well thank you. Sticking around same weight even though I'm allowing myself a few more substantial meals. But by weighing myself daily I can adjust what I eat and feel totally in control.
