2nd times the charm

Hi all,

It has been quite a while since i came on here. I was then wanting to lose 10 stone odd and i gave up easily. Now i feel like i am in the right place. I have been doing the 12 week plan the NHS has on here and so far lost 9 lbs in the first 2 weeks. I will be weighing myself tomorrow for week three. It has not been a great week but even if i have not lost anything i do not want to give up. I am trying my best to eat right and watch my calories so for my third week i intend to try and exercise more. Exercise is not easy for me as i have a pinned hip and it causes all kinds of movement problems.

I am sick though of feeling so ugly and fat. I will defeat the monster inside that tells me i'm hungry.

Thanks for reading just thought i share a thought.

xxxxxx

Hi Saucychilli,

Well done on your loss so far - getting close to the first stone, you will feel great when you hit that first stone!

I started out with well over 10 stone to lose and now have a bit less than 10 stone to go. It is daunting when you have so much to lose but you just have to chip away at it one lb at a time. I've been doing it since February and lost over 4 1/2 stone. Still a long way to go but I feel amazing getting this far and you will too :)

Keep up the good work :)

Thanks ;-). Does feel like a mountain but I have done it differently this time. My attitude now is any lose is a lose big or small. That's amazing. That is a lot of weight you lost. I can't wait till I have lost my first stone.

Thank you for your support xxxxxx

It is all about attitude - I started out wanting to stop gaining weight and then aimed for 3 stone by the end of the year but I should be closer to 5.

I (like others here) set lots of small goals and targets which really helps. I also save £1 for every lb I lose to buy something nice when I finish.

You will have plenty of people here to share in your celebration of your first stone lost :)

Thank you so much. I feel like I am getting lots of support already on here. saving money is a good idea. If I save enough I could get a nice pair of shoes or something lol. Well I hope I have the same commitment you clearly have.

Well done for only being on attempt number 2 saucy, I tried and failed umpteen times before the penny dropped. This time it's all the way and forever, for both of us :)

Looking forward to following your progress :)

Hi moreless, totally agree. I never really felt that I was too big before and I let it get out of control. Now I want to rain it back in. I;m glad I can come on here and have so much support.

Fingers crossed I make myself proud.

I doubted myself at the beginning, but now I know I will succeed and I know you will too. I don't know if you've read my progress report, but here's the link if you want to see how far I've come :)

I just read it. What a journey. I started to get teary eyed. I agree you really can feel the support. Although I must admit I'm 25 and when I started was 20st 9lbs. I shall be reporting my weight loss for this week tomorrow. I am hoping by Christmas to have lost just over a stone. I want to feel confidence in myself which I a have never had. Weight has always been an issue and I was bullied in school. you know how kids can be. I feel so uncomfortable in my own skin. So I'm proud to have achieved what I have so far and I hope I will have amazing stories to tell just as you guys have.

Thank you so much for that link. Really inspirational xxxxx

I really hope my story can help others, no matter their age or weight. I've been lucky enough to be inspired and it's only right that I should pay it forward :)

Why don't you bite the bullet, just like I did and post your weight on our Monday group weigh-in thread? Here's the link for you :)
