"STUBBORN" FAT

Two years ago, I lost a considerable amount of weight. Somewhere between 3 and 4 stone. My weight loss was not planned and it happened rather quickly due to a lifestyle change. Despite being thrilled with the loss, I am still not happy with my body. I still have a pouch of belly fat and love handles, not to mention some "extra skin". I've tried to lose the remainder of the fat with cardio and dieting; and I've tried to do ab-work to displace the fat with muscle. However it seems impossible to lose the fat. I can notice that some of it does shrink with doing these things. It's infuriating to lose weight (despite the lack of effort) and still have a body you're not comfortable with.

Has anyone else had a similar expeirence and successfully lost the last bit of fat?

I feel your pain, just started using Health Sidekick's tracking app and checking into wraps for skin toning. Also, switched up my exercise program in hopes this will all help me progress to reaching my goal....results tbd, lol")

Good luck to you, I wish you all the best!

My hunch is that the trick is to be comfortable with your body as it is - it doesn't stop you from taking positive action. Enjoying your eating and eating healthily and being active are all good things to do anyway.

I am still working on the last bit of weight loss as I am still carrying a lot of wobble round the middle (7cms + off a good waist/hip ratio - I am not entirely sure I will get there as I may not be that body shape but I don't think I've done enough to prove that yet!) But I am pleased to have maintained a healthy weight and so should you be.

So I have no magic tips other than steering well clear of all celebrity magazines and images with their photoshopping which misleads you about what normal, healthy bodies look like. Oh and getting good underpinnings - I found getting measured for the right bra style and size and making sure to replace bras regularly made a huge difference to comfort and looks. And I succumbed to big firm control knickers for running in as that tummy wobble is not comfortable!
