Ding-dong! 20lbs gone...

First 12-week stint behind me and Ye Holy Scales say I have binned 20lbs of blubber. Now for the next 12 weeks. Hasn't been too bad actually. Reckon I can stick with this. Oh, and just now someone asked if I had lost weight - eagle-eyed female, as to be expected ;) Hope y'all hangin' on in there - onwards and downwards :D #smugmogbraggin

You make it sound so effortless but I know it isn't! 20lb is amazing. I reckon people do not need to be all that eagle-eyed to notice a change like that, remember plenty of people may have noticed but for whatever reason will not comment (jealousy/discretion), so maybe take the comment as a sign that lots of people are noticing now :)

Golly, no; it's not effortless at all, but it has proved doable. Had my slipups - crisps/takeaways/hard drink etc., but as long as I rein myself in pronto, the plodding donkey keeps plodding on, dropping its burden basket by basket. Hey, you don't seem to be doing so bad yourself, RCRunner - happy to be your blubber-busting buddy :D

Overall including weight lost on the c25k I've lost 15lb :) It has proved doable. And slightly mad. I can't believe I might see 10st something soon. And before all this I was honestly feeling so helpless like I would just keep getting bigger however hard I tried. Happy to be your blubber-busting buddy too. Having partners in crime is what it's all about I think. And getting straight back on every time you fall off too :)

Brilliant :-) losing 20 lbs you must be feeling so good and knowing that this is something you can stick with is also great. I have found that this life style change really works too and it's about finding that focus and determination and believing in yourself that positive changes are possible so well done to you Gollibooboo

in reply to trafford1

So right , Traff - it's a lifestyle change, not a diet. Makes it all so more chill. You on a roll, gal! :D

Well done you, you must be so pleased, keep it going x

To the smug mog, you are definitely the cat that got the cream - and smugly walked away to the water bowl instead, lol. Seriously though, chuffed to bits for you on the completion of your first 12 weeks and the resulting 20lb wobble loss. Hope the next 12 weeks are just as fab. ShellieL 😊

in reply to

Clotted cream - ooh, you've got me there! Long time since I had that. Hope all is well and smaller in ShellieLville... :D

Am trying hun, very trying according to some lol. Back on the straight and narrow ( where does that saying come from, always sounds so depressingly boring!). Had a big bowl of strawbs. to use up this morning so. blitzed them with a yoghurt and massive handful of kale. Looked awful but tasted surprisingly nice.

Sounds good to me - but then I quite like hemp protein powder with soy milk for an after-work out protein hit. Looks like sludge; tastes like sludge but, by golly, it does me good... ;) #thatold
