Finding the positive in the negative

β€’4 Replies

Home from work 4 hours early as started with a sickness bug 😫. No negativity here though, my tummy may be doing its best impression of a washing machine but my heart is singing. Why? Stepped on the scales and found I have lost 7lbs in the 3 weeks Since I started this journey. My first goal of 10lbs off by the end of July (8wks from start) is looking good to go, WOOHOO.

It has taken me 30 years to lard my body to the size and weight it is, and I will admit the challenge was easy. Taking this lard off may only take a small percentage of that time, but the challenge and strength needed to do so is immense. Though I have set myself small milestone markers, I do not fool myself, I know how far I have to go. It is one of the reasons I refuse to weigh myself every week. I am well aware of my weaknesses, and seeing the scales stay the same or go down by point miniscule is not a good place for me. So weighing every 3-4 weeks is, for me, better.

So, I started at 230lbs. I am now 223lbs. Chuffed with myself.
