Hi everyone, my name is Jackie, I am new here. I will be starting me 12 week plan from tomorrow. I need to lose 2 stone if possible for my holidays in September. I hope to give and receive support along the way with the help of people on here, as my willpower is not a very good one. :(

Hi Jackie and welcome to the group. I think you've made a very good choice in deciding on the 12 week plan, I start week 10 tomorrow and I have to say the last 9 weeks have been really enjoyable, and that's not something I've been able to say when I've tried other weight loss plans (I prefer not to call this a diet more a healthy lifestyle). I have found it helpful to record everything I eat, to plan my meals and to keep a note of the calorific value during the day so I don't exceed the daily allowance. This forum is really very helpful and I find it helps to log on at least once a day to read the posts, there are some inspiring people here and you will find all the support and encouragement you will need in the coming weeks. Hi Jen

Thank you for the encouragement, willpower is what i need now. I am trying to keep fit at the same time, and have a very stressful job, so I think I am trying to focus on the bad things instead of the good. Once I get my head into gear and focused I am sure I will do better. x

Hi Jackie, good luck, you have a good reward at the end of the 12 weeks with a holiday, and keep in mind how much you'll enjoy being slimmer for that to keep your willpower strong!

Good luck this site is fantastic for support sure you will achieve your goal quite easily,I am also going away in September .

I've tried various diets Jackie and the weight has always gone back on or they are unsustainable. I've just finished week 1 and its been great. Make sure you write EVERY calorie down - Easy to keep track of calories and even have wine! I too don't have much willpower and have 2 stone to lose - good luck and just think of some new clothes you could buy - I'm going to treat myself to a new top if I lose another 2 lb this next week.

Hi Jackie I am new here too. I have just about finished my first week and although I found it hard to resist the really bad things at first (KFC for one thing) by the end of the first week it seemed easier. I can believe I have more energy already. Good luck to you.

Thank you to everyone who messaged back to me. Everyday I wake I aim to be good, food wise I struggle, but have managed to keep going to the gym this week, so thats something. I look trimmer but weight the same. Good luck to everyone here x
