End of week 9 = another 2lbs off :)

So, I've reached the end of week 9 and have now achieved a total loss of 18lbs. I'm really pleased with this but almost wishing I could of lost more. I just want rid of the excess weight!! I guess I really need to increase my exercise levels, yes I'm doing at least 10,000 steps a day, but maybe this needs to be increased if I'm to speed up my weight loss? Any tips gratefully received xx

Well done Donna! What's the rush? I think it's best to take it slow and steady as it's a lifelong change. You don't want to get it all the excess weight off that quickly as there's more chance of you putting it back on again. The best thing I've found is getting control back and It's such a big change for me that I'm needing time to get used to it. My goal is to lose llb a week. We are all different though. I think I would go to bed earlier and then get up earlier and go for a nice morning walk if I wanted a faster weight loss rate. Have a nice bank holiday. :)

Thank you for your lovely reply and you're right, there's no rush and slow and steady is the way to go. 😀😀

2lbs a week is amazing! Any more than that and you're very likely to be losing water and / or muscle. Well done, you're doing brilliantly :-)

👏👏 I agree with the other posters ... Slow, steady and maintainable ... Keep up the good work 👍

Well done. An average of 2lb a week is just right to maintain it long term. I am doing about the same and also wish it would go faster but I am embracing the slow and steady idea for long term success.

Well done you i would just keep doing what you are doing and maybe up the exercise if you start to stay the same but at the moment you are doing a grand job.

Hope you have a brill weekend.

Well done, 2lbs is a healthy amount that will be easier to sustain long term and maintain. Keep up the good work. If you want to increase your exercise maybe change up your routine or up intensity so walk at a faster pace for some of the walk, or i found adding weights into my routine helped tone and lose a few extra lbs. Have a good week

Hi Donnammm42, your weight loss to date is really great sounds like you are doing a great job on your journey. You must be so proud :-)

Your losing at a good steady pace which is great. I am similar with my losses. If find weeks where I watch everything I eat and increase my exercise that I can drop 3/4 lbs but that's not often. Keep up the good work and experiment this week with some increased exercises and try something new. I change my workouts each week as I don't want my body to get used to the same thing and have had some good steady weight loss. Best of luck this week can't wait to hear how you have done x
