If at first you don't succeed...

Try Try and Try again.

So it was my 6 week weigh in yesterday and I lost 2lbs. Not quite the result I was hoping for but I shouldn't be too disappointed as my first 2 weigh ins were 9lbs and 5lbs respectively, I suppose it is in the right direction. I did have a moment (night) of weakness and went out with the lads drinking which will have definitely affected the weight loss. Damn you beer and your neon grip!

A couple of friends did say my weight loss would slow down or even stop as I have been weight training 4 times a week. I am determined to lose more weight though and right now the only way I can see myself doing this is by upping the cardio and continuing on the calorie restricted diet. I currently do 3 cardio sessions a week but I need to up this to 4 sessions and get some more variation in there. I currently run 5km in intervals but I think upping this to 10km should do the trick.

Keep your eyes on the prize!

You've done nothing wrong, beer has probably hidden your fat loss. I'm sure week 4 will come with a loss if you don't drink any more beer, :)

Sounds like you have been working hard and are doing the right things. The beer probably didnt help but we all have little relapses, you are back on track which is the main thing. You do plenty of exercise so only increase if you want to, muscle does weigh more than fat so could show a difference in your weight loss as muscle develops, but after 2 amazing weeks, a lesser week is nothing to be worried about, stick to the plan and keep going.

2lbs is a really good sustainable weight loss. You should be very pleased. Especially at the six week point.

The NHS recommends 2 strength training and 5 cardio sessions a week so maybe swap one of your weight training sessions for cardio. And each cardio session should be for at least half an hour plus warm up and cool down so you might not need to push as far as 10k but maybe increasing it slightly would be advantageous. Cardio will definitely give you quicker effects than weight training if your goal is fat loss.

Don't give up the beer altogether but try and limit it. Drink lots of water before you go to the pub so there's no space for beer!

Good luck and well done; you should be very proud of yourself.
