Went to the vets today to have the cats weighed. One of them weighs 10lbs. Anyone else with a big cat who lies on your stomach?

I have one on belly, one on each leg and one on each bum cheek. Yep that's the 50 odd lb I need to get rid of haha, five cats worth! Lol! 😆

In all seriousness my cat is only a little'un about 6/7lb and prefers to sleep on my feet! 🌸

So pleased you have a cat. Something else we have in common. :)

Indeed! I love my cat, he's called leo, he was the runt of the litter and has a little malformed back paw and a stubby tail😆 Makes me love him more lol! Thinks he's human of course. I did have 2 but lola didn't make it through her spay a year ago😢

I'd totally be a crazy cat lady and have loads if my OH would allow it!! 🌸

My cats are called Omar and Emily and follow me everywhere. They are my babies! x

I have 5 cats and the 3 adults are all that weight and more. Not overweight cats, just big lads - in fact the heaviest looks a tad scrawny if anything (he's a pedigree Bengal rescue and a bit of a Marmite cat amongst surrounding householders). One of them attends my 10 minutes of yoga in the bathroom first thing every morning, which is great motivation as I would hate to disappoint him.

I've found having a dog invaluable to my weight loss - walks, runs, and she is a better dustbin than me.

There's an epidemic of obesity in pets, but apparently once owners accept their pet is overweight, they are better at doing something about it than people are about their own bodies.

Vet says Omar (10lb) cat is a healthy weight but the girl does need to lose a bit as she isn't very big. It's large and little large here!

My cat is 7k (15lbs). He is a large Bengal but even so he is overweight because he doesn't go out anywhere. Both of us are on a diet now and weighing in regularly!

Pick him up when you are tempted to cheat. That should be good exercise for you as well!

Hi, I also have two rescued cats and they are my babies too, they give me lots of love, follow me around and sleep on my bed. One eats more than the other and moves less, so it's a bit fatter, but I can't help giving her more food when she asks for it. And they are very demanding with food, they just want the good stuff, :)

They all sound wonderful! My 10lb cat isn't overweight but just big. He looks like a lion cub and is the most loving cat we have ever had. :)

Hm, sweet, me? Nobody's accused me of that before, lol. I basically just said that I want my cat to die so I can do what I want. Not so sweet. Although I do try to look after them, little buggers. Another one I had had diabetes and a lot of people could not understand that I stopped doing a lot of stuff just so that I could be home every 12 hours to give him insulin shots. Now let's hope I lose the belly so I don't have to do insulin shots for myself. (says she and puts the biscuit away) :D

Ok you are a little devil! Your pussycat will probably hang on just to spite you now. Serve you right! Ha Ha. They can be expensive. Our cat has eye ulcers. One year he cost us £1,500 in vets fees. I could have bought a chocolate mountain for that! :)
