Hi all, I'm new to this site but not new to the battle of the bulge! I Don't think there has been a time that I can remember where I'm not trying a new fad diet and then expecting to lose 10lb every week and when I see reality I have given up. I'm determined to take things slowly this time round. To try and teach myself it's not a race and that I can make this life style change and it not mean I can't leave the house or keep myself away from social situations. So 1-2 pound a week is fine by me. I go away to Portugal in September and would ideally like to not feel self conscious about my weight the whole time I'm there. I struggle mostly with the fact I hate salads I keep trying but I have texture issues and I'm trying to find alternatives for packing out meals or for lunches in general. I'm also quiting smoking again so any low cal snacks that any one can think of would really be appreciated. Thank you all in advance and hope you all had a lovely bank holiday weekend. 🐣🐇

Welcome, I hope you find what you need in this community. Start by dowloading an app on your phone to keep track of calories (Fat Secret, My Fitness Pal...), it's a great aid! Good luck!
