Yippee I have completed the first week of the NHS weight loss program & lost a magic 4lbs!

What has really helped me is the NHS information & the myfitnesspal app. Reducing my portion size also being more aware of carbohydrates and sugars.

This support network is excellent. 😀

Thank you, I have never lost that much in a week before.

Well done! I am weighing in tomorrow, but it's been a slow start for me.

I am working out how to make changes - leaving the car at home and walking everywhere is one of them! Are you treating yourself this evening? Obviously not with food/drink!

Thanks, no plans for a treat just now I am just really happy at the weight loss, I am usually a 1lb a week person. Hope you have a good weigh in tomorrow, let me know how you get on. I think it is getting an awareness of what we eat & how much exercise we do. Then as you say making small changes, as they say 'Rome wasn't built in a day'.

Hi Bethanyjade, The NhS weight loss program is very good also the myfitnesspal app can help too. The support is here for you, take things a day at a time and believe in yourself-you can do this.

Well done , 4lbs is amazing ! I love the myfitnesspal app too! The best bit is when you click 'complete entry' and it tells you how much you would weigh in 5 weeks if you ate that amount of calories each day :) such good motivation ! Good luck for next week x

Thank you, I must admit I like the 5 week prediction on myfitnesspal, I also like the pi graph showing the percentages of carbohydrates, fat & protein eaten. Good luck with your weight loss journey.

That's fantastic rosie23! Well done to you! It's very empowering being more aware of what you are putting into your body isn't it! Did u take measurements as well? I also had a good first week loss when I weighed in yesterday, but what was even more amazing was that my hips were 2inches smaller!! So motivating to see that it's actually working! Best of luck for week 2! Xxx

That's amazing well done you. 4lbs is excellent and you must feel proud. I'm on day 3 and must say 1400 calories is so doable. Great you've got the app. I looked at the 10 minute exercises which I plan to start next week and then the couch25K the week after. Hope you continue to lose. Stay motivated and visualise the slimmer healthier you.

Thank you, you sound really motivated, the exercise sounds like a good plan. My exercise is limited at the moment, I have lymphedema in my right leg & have had a bout of cellulitis. On the positive I am much better. Have been using the wii fit, and started walking short distances. Keep up the good work 😀
