Break from breakfast!

I started on here in the new year and lost some weight had a few bad days but then focused.

After carefully calorie counting and eating all the right things, checking my progress on My Fitness Pal and exercising, I gained 6lbs in 2 weeks!!

I stopped eating breakfast when I was about 12 years old and now at the age of 40 I was forcing myself to have healthy porridge everyday to give me energy. I didn't enjoy it and didn't want it but thought it was the right thing to do.

1 and 1/2 weeks ago I decided to listen to my body and gave up the breakfast. Still eating the same amount of calories / carbs and fat and pleased to report that I have lost 7lbs!!!!!

I need to keep in mind that we are all different and listen to my body more :)

Start Weight 15/2/15 - 12st 6lbs

Current weight 2/3/15 - 11st 13lbs

Target for Good Friday - 11st 7lbs

Ultimate Target - 10st 7lbs

I eat breakfast at lunchtime! When I forced myself to eat breakfast early it made me far more hungry during the morning and felt starving by lunchtime. Once I stopped eating breakfast I didn't even think about food, and sometimes I forget to eat lunch as well and I don't eat until around 4pm when I feed my cats and then think, ah yes, food. There's a version of intermittent fasting called 16:8 where you just eat your calories in an eight hour window - basically that means not eating breakfast.

I went from 12 stone 4 pounds to 9 stone 4 pounds in six months on the 5:2 Diet.

Yes, we all need to listen to our bodies more. Good to hear you have found what works for you. If I eat any breakfast I always make it a protein one.

Good luck with your target.
