Hi all very new to this I have managed to shift the weight before but put it back on:(

I've cut out empty cals and now writing down all I eat and it's certainly been an eye opener on the amount of calories you can pile up with a snack here and a trip to the fridge during the adverts. 50 in the summer and really want to be 42lb's lighter! lost 4lb so that's 38 to go!

Congratulations on losing 4 pounds so far - that's a great start. Sounds like you're making some positive changes - I agree with you that it's very easy for the calories to mount up, and that's why tracking them is so invaluable.
