Hi everyone.
I'm 21, and a little overweight. My BMI is 27.9 - my boyfriend is a personal trainer and he always says BMI is silly as muscle weights more than fat making a lot of people overweight according to BMI but I have no muscle!
I've got a bad back which hasn't helped but I'm determined not to let this become an excuse. My weight is making me feel low and I am not confident in myself. I don't want to be thin but I know my weight is a bit too much for my height and I don't feel healthy.
I'm doing pilates (aiming for 1 - 3 times a week) for my back.
I'm going to do about 20 minutes cardio on a cross trainer twice a week also, along with some ab work and strengthening - I'll do this under the supervision of my boyfriend.
In addition I'm going to go to the gym 1 - 3 times a week for classes like spin.
I'm a vegetarian, I eat lots of vegetables, quinoa, cous cous etc but I think my main issue is eating a tad too much, especially in the evenings.
I'm really hoping to get back to the fitness I once had!
