Hello from me. I have a problem with my overweight. I don't know what to do, tried several diets but to no avail. Now I stumbled upon a weight loss product Lipovon. Is there any information about this product? Thank you

You can look up the individual ingredients, Hoodia Gordonic and Garcinia Cambogia. There is some evidence that the second one caused weight loss in rats. There don't seem to have been any scientific trials in humans. I suspect that your purse may be the only thing that loses weight.

If you are very overweight have you talked to your doctor about this?

If the 12 week plan does not work for you, perhaps look at the 5:2 diet, or try cutting down a lot on your carbs especially sugar.

Don't touch weightloss products - very often they're a scam, especially the online ones, and you could find yourself very out of pocket.

5:2 is brilliant! I lost three stone in six months on it and now maintain by just 'fasting' (500 calories) one day a week. After I'd lost the first stone I had so much energy that I started the NHS Couch to 5k running programme and I still run three times a week, which of course helps to maintain my weight loss.

If you didn't see the original programme, "Eat, Fast and Live Longer" it's here bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b...

And I'd recommend Kate' Harrison's book, "The 5:2 Diet" which is a quick and easy read.

On the various Facebook groups there are so many inspirational stories.

I've never previously used a diet where I didn't pile it all straight back on again - I've been the same weight now, and a size 10 after being a size 16 for too many years, since April 2013!

I've just found online that it is actually a scam. Once you've placed an order your card then gets debited each month. DON'T GET SCAMMED!

What about sesame oil? Does that qualify as a 'good fat'?

I agree with the others: weight-loss products are a waste of time and money.

Ultimately, you have to eat less. That is the only way. It works like mathematics: eat x amount of calories only, lose y amount of weight.

It is healthier lose weight naturally. Don't just rely on weight loss products. Set a realistic goal. Get on with a healthy lifestyle. Incorporate healthy diet and exercise to it. Also, watch your calorie intake. It is easier to cut than to burn. I know you can do it. You can also use firming lotion or body wraps to avoid sagging skin while losing weight.
