Waterproofs for plus sizes (size 22)?

Hi all, Can anyone recommend brands, shops or websites that do waterproof coats for plus sizes? I have a friend who's trying to stick to her walking regime, but needs to buy herself a coat now that summer is over. She's a size 22 and is about 5'1.

It would be great to see this barrier to exercise removed!

Perhaps try a waterproof poncho? Argos do a cheap one and there are some on Amazon.

I got it from their ebay site as I live in Sweden so it was easier for me to purchase it this way, however, I have given the link to their website, as if you live in the UK, postage is easier for you.

Check out Cotton Traders, They seem to sell a wide range of plus sizes for all their clothes.

Hi,

When I was a size 24 I went to Great Outdoors, however, I often found the mens coats to be more comfortable than the womens. They have more space across the shoulders and chest and womens coats don't always account for bigger boobs at bigger sizes.

Thanks for these replies. The poncho is a great idea for a stop-gap while we investigate the other suggestions.

Thanks Kate for the reminder about the importance of shape. I've discovered that Jack Wolfskin's XXL is a size 22/24 and on their website they go into a lot of detail about chest/waist/arm etc measurements so we'll check them out too.
