Hi Guys,

I'm wondering whether I should get one of these polar FT4 or not? I'm worried it will be a waste of money but I want to use it for things like doing weights and walking and stuff, or even when I'm using a gym machine because I know machine calories aren't accurate enoigh and I was thinking a heart rate monitor might help? Are they worth it? Please help? xxx

  • I don't have either! It's a fancy heart rate monitor. I know the cals burned are not an exact science, but you will see an improvement on what the machine is telling you it depends how much you want to know I guess, if I was going for something gadgety it would be a garmin probably.

  • If you are following diet & exercise advice, you don't need gadgets. Scales are good but the best thing is how you feel and measure.
