Day 1!!

Well today is the first day of using myfitnesspal! Have to say it makes calorie counting a whole lot easier and a whole less scarier! Im hoping to lose 2-4 stone depending on how this goes. If anyone has any tips they wuld b greatly appreciated :)

Hi Day1. I am starting my weight loss journey. You can scan your packages into it to easily work out what you have eaten.

I'm calorie counting too, allthough I have foud I prefer doing it manually and writing in a notebook :P I've got apps for everything else but found it hard to do right on the likes of myfitnesspal

Congratulations on completing your first day! I too use myfitnesspal and I have to say it is fantastic and so easy to use. One thing I have found really helpful is that when I feel I am hungry I drink a glass of water and then wait for 1 hour, if I am still hungry then I go and eat, but more often than not I am actually not hungry afterwards. I've been drinking just over 2litres of water each day, which is very good for the complexion too! So far I've lost 16lbs in the past 13weeks using myfitnesspal and some gentle exercising after having major surgery in January. I've also been using a static bike (only cost me £99) which folds away so it doesn't take up that much room and is great for using whilst watching tv as you get the benefit of exercising whilst enjoying favourite tv programmes. I have been using the bottom 2 steps on the stairs to do 3minutes of steps each day and also going for little gentle walks around my neighbourhood. Now that my back is able to take more physical action I will be upping the exercise. I also started the nhs12weekplan on Monday of this week, this gradually increases your exercise etc so should hopefully help me in shifting the rest of the weight. Good luck :)

Hiya, thanks. Im following the 12 week plan too. Exercise wise il b swimming and recently got a bike so plenty of cycling too thts if i havent forgotten how to ride one ! and I walk everywhere anyway. Will defo do the water thing...think its half my problem I dnt drink enough and confuse hunger for dehydration! Day 2 today so far so good :)
