You can do it all, one day at a time. But never buy a packet. good luck.

I started smoking again after four months of quitting, then stopped again. Weight gain both times. It's not easy, I found if you don't buy them it's better, when I felt the need, I had a pull or two from a friends fag. Till it passed. Then carried on a non smoker, I haven't had one now for over 8year.

Don't beat your self up over your Newyear mishap . You can and will do both just put it down to experience and learn from your mistakes. Good luck

I gave up four years ago with Nicotinell lozenges. They were absolutely brilliant - just park one in your cheek and you don't think about smoking, or eating either! Each one lasts for about 45 minutes.- don't chew them.

As for weight, I lost three stone on the 5:2 Diet in six months and have maintained my weight since April - it's the first diet that's ever worked for me and the weight stay off afterwards!

Don't try to do both at once. make sure the smoking has stopped completely and THEN tackle the weight. Stopping smoking is stressful enough without adding to it.
