Nice plump goats tend to have more fat, try changing to lean ones.

Seriously, if this isn't a troll post, then you need to rethink how and why you want to lose weight.

This forum is all about losing weight through healthy diet and exercise. It doesn't sound like you are ready to make the life changes necessary to help you lose the weight you need to.

You don't say how tall you are, so I've no idea how overweight you are, but tbh it doesn't sound like you are a candidate for weight loss surgery. (which by the way would be even more restrictive diet wise).

Take a look at the following page of the nhs website

nhs.uk/LiveWell/loseweight/...

Read around all the information on diets, healthy eating, exercise, real life stories, the 12 week plan, meal planner.... and also posts on this forum. This will give you the best tools to help you lose weight in a safe way.

Good luck

I rather disagree with runningman. There is a way to lose weight without additional exercise and going on a 'diet'. If you look at the slimmest people they tell you they eat anything they like and they don't need to diet but if you look at what they eat their mindset is a slim one. I think it's a matter of retraining our minds but bearing in mind that every human needs some exercise. I have a friend who had his stomach clamped as he was morbidly obese. He lost about 16 stone but clamping his stomach didn't change his mindset and his attitude to food so now the weight is piling back on.

Slim people think slim. I'm just not there yet!! x

You need some exercise to keep yourself in good health, whatever food you are eating.

Hi sheetu,

Basically, the answer is no.

But that perhaps depends upon just what you mean by 'diet'.

If you're overweight, then that is predominantly because your body has adapted to your existing 'diet' (i.e. food intake) by becoming overweight. Which is what happens when humans in effect over-feed themselves in one way or another, e.g. wrong food choices, excessive portions, eating too often, etc.

I mean, at one level, although I have radically changed what I eat from what was causing me to be 4 stone overweight - I didn't really go on a 'diet' as such. More accurately, I just stopped eating unhealthy, poor nutrition food and then lost weight as my body adapted to that.

So, I kind of 'chucked out' fatty, creamy, sugary, sweet stuff from my food intake.

As for exercise / activity, well increasing that will help a weight loss process, for a number of reasons, but exercise doesn't necessarily have to be very 'sporty' or based in a gym, if that is what you mean. Going for a good brisk walk or some energetic housework is a not bad starting point.

Whichever, good luck with your weight loss journey.

Not feeding the trolls is one way for them to lose weight.

You want to have your cake and eat it too (yeah, I know, bad pun for). That's not possible. Maybe start fasting (cause I would classify that as a "no-diet" ha!). It's like saying "I want to make money but I don't want to work for it". The only way you could "make" anything is if your friends gifted you small change and so... but even that can run out. Yeah, probably not gonna happen.
