Help I am stuck in a rut.

I want to lose weight but am finding it very hard I get bored and eat the wrong things I am very much an emotional eater and a secret eater too and I have got into such a habit I don't know how to stop and it is getting me down so badly but I hide it my eating please help me I am at my wits end

Hiya, I too am an emotional eater, and I tend to want to eat morein the evenings when its too late to cook (only problem with working nights). One thing I have found helps is if I plan my weeks meals I make extra that I can freeze so that im less likely to tuck into anything thats likely to throw myself of course. In terms of managing emotions I try to channel any negativity into my exercise that way im turning any negative emotions into a positive with my fitness. I hope this helps a little, dont be too hard on yourself, we are only human, self critcism reeks havock for emotional eaters xx

I have a trick that came from a dietician, and it helps me and I am unable to exercise as I have mobility problems.

Draw round a teaplate onto cardboard

Draw a line through the middle of the circle devide it into two equal sections

Draw a line through the middle of 1 of the halves to make 2 equal parts

You should have 1 half and 2 quarters.

The largest portion is for vegetables or fruit

One of the smaller portions is for meat or if you are vegetarian quorn or similar products

The other smaller section is for Carbs, wholegrain, wholewheat, wholemeal, seeded, brown. spelt or jacket are the best as we already know.

I'll let you into a secret, sweet potatoes are not a carb! They're a veg so enjoy!!

Also if you know you're blood group, check it out the blood group diet, it tells you what foods are toxic to your body, what foods are medicine and what to eat generally.

I'm blood group O negative and I found out I'm wheat and dairy intolerant!

By the end of the first week, I could tell a difference, I wasn't bloated and by the end of the first month the psoriasis on my face and scalp had nearly gone!!

I'm a believer in angels and I have a poem that I give to people who are in need of some comfort and support.

When angels sense you need them

And angels always do

They come unseen from everywhere

To help and comfort you

They hover close beside you

Till all your cares are gone

Till they sense that you are ready

Once again to carry on

Then some of them fly away

And take their gentle touch

To other hearts that need the love

Of angels very much

But one at least stays with you

As your constant friend and guide

For guardian angels never leave you

They are always by your side!

Print it out and but it where it will help you the most!

My friend has it on her bed side table, and reads it before she goes to sleep at night, the first time she read it before going to sleep, it was the best sleep she'd had for a long time!

Thank you both so much I will so take your advice on board as I could do with the help. I think it is because I work part time and have the holidays off that I get bored to easy and I eat as money is tight for me to go to the gym etc but I will get there I hope. I have started having weigh ins at the doctors now so that will help. Mitzy I will check out that blood group thing it might help me. Love the idea of the card thing xxx
