That's 3.5 lbs a week what sort of a diet have you been on?

Hi amieerawr,

Just one thought - are you using your scales on some sort of hard flooring?

I've noticed that if I use my scales on our new vinyl flooring - which is rather 'cushioned' - they kind of sink into it and cause nonsense weight readings, so I have had to put them onto a ceramic tile as I no longer, ih the new house, have a hard surface for them to stand on when I'm weighing myself.

Other than that, it's not necessarily the case that your weight and your measurements such as waist will go down in some sort of perfectly mathematical co-ordination. In fact, you measurements are likely to change in spurts and blips much as your weight is likely to and often at different times.

Good luck with your weight loss efforts.

Oh, and if your weight loss turns out to be true, I'd recommend you peddle back a bit as recommended weight loss is about 1 to 2 lbs a week - 1 kg a week max - averaged out.

I've found in the past that a stone is about equivalent to 2 inches or 1 dress size for me.

And it is common to lose more weight in the first month of dieting if you have not been dieting before. (OK, half of it might be water according to some people but if it encourages you to keep going and you can get into smaller clothes it's worth it!)

Just wish I could lose a stone in a month now!!
