I've tried slimming world. It's good. I just couldn't stick with it and was grudgingly paying my money every week to stand on a set of scales.

Good luck. It's good, healthy and works

I've been on my weight loss journey for 4 months ans have lost 2.5 stone. I have put 3lbs on over xmas but I'm back on the wagon and hope to be in the 170's by the end of January. :)

I'm actually quite proud of myself at the moment. Since starting my weight loss programme in July I have lost 4 stones 8lbs and even managed to lose 3lbs over Christmas. I just hope it continues into the New Year

Well done - I've lost a similar amount but taken me several months longer!

Well done to you too. I was over 20 stone when I began so I did lose it quite quickly at first but now down to the recommended 1-2 lbs a week.

I think New Year resolutions tend to be sticks that we beat ourselves up with. However when my sister invited me to join her for dry January last year something clicked... I would join her but on my terms. I was due to go out for Burns night celebrations (25th Jan) so decided I would only be 'dry' until then. This tiny taking control, going dry for my own selected period, has had huge knock on effects. I decided to try to stick to a Slimming World approach to eating, when I could manage to, as well. Despite some health issues- almost because of them- I started the NHS C25k programme in July and graduated in September.

So for New Year this year?

To get within the healthy BMI range.

To conquer my health issues and get back to running and swimming again.

To aim for positive kind and loving thoughts, always

Have a great New Years Eve and here's to 2016! 😀

I plan to make some healthy realistic goals that I can stick to so that I don't fall off the wagon completely and continue to lose weight, get fit and be stress free. Like everyone I have eaten lots of rubbish over the Christmas period but I'm just going to accept it and move on. No point in beating myself up about it or I'll never get back on the wagon.

I have every intention of moving more hopefully getting fitter and losing a couple of stone but won't be making any New Years Resolutions they only lead to disappointment

Yes just ate my last chocolate for a month. And I shall buddy up with my sister to go and get weighed at slimming world. It will help her get out and meet her local community so we both win.

I intend to keep on going now I am on a roll just know I cant eat much carb or any sugar or wine, have been depressed over my weight for years so don't intend to ruin it now, if and when I get to goal weight I will just eat more of the healthy stuff. that's the plan. Goal is another stone and a half which would make a total of 3 stone something I never dreamed of reaching. so we will see target is Easter

I've regained a stone by slipping back to old habits and I don't like it.

i lost 5 1/2 stone in 2015 through dieting and walking (and an occasional treadmill session when the weather was bad). 2016 is about maintaining my new weight and enjoying my new love of healthier food and living

Well done & enjoy you new healthier life!

I must get down to 11 stone 11 pounds to be at the top of my healthy BMI range. I got down to 11 stone 13 pounds (or even 12 stone 12 pounds, I can't remember which ) at the end of November / start of December, but then unfortunately have gone back up to 12 stone 6 pounds by today, due mainly to Christmas eating. Hopefully now I'm back on track with the eating I'll get back down again and get into my healthy BMI range. I'm really looking forwards to going for some nice walks in the evening after work.

I just want to stay healthy and fit. I have learnt over the years that you can't take good healthy for granted. I will try to do all that I can to remain fit, and well

Had a stressful Christmas, very glad it's all over I'm not shocked at how big iv become, Iv had so many health problems which has been frustrating, but I'm not giving up with me yet, my biggest problem is bread and wine (which is God's preferred food and drink lol ) but I'm doing dry January and see how much I can loss, and some swimming ,let's go

Over the years I've requested numerous tests. Cholesterol, diabetes etc to give me a significant reason to lose weight. All absolutely fine.

I gave up a pretty hectic job for a sedentary job, driving instructor, and have gained almost 3 stones. I have a wardrobe full of clothes I can't fit into and j feel tired, lethargic, fed up and listless.

I need to lose weight, get back to feeling healthy and enjoy life again.

I will not consider my health goals as new year's resolutions because for some reason labelling them as such seems to make it a self-fulfilling prophecy that i will fail...

i intend to reach my target weight of 12 st 10 lbs by summer

hmmmm .... and I am dreaming of wearing a suit (skirt and jacket) i had been wearing 20 years ago.... ooops, I still have it and look from time to time at it with a longing sigh, and I am now an oldie... but you know hope dies last...

Yep definitely gonna have a healthier year. I need to lose weight! I've put it off for far too long.

More fibre! Which means more fruit and veg, and definitely no crisps, less chocolate (I'm not giving it up entirely, nothing compares to chocolate!) and more walking. Join a suitably not too strenuous class to get me moving around and stretching more, and I would like to be closer to weighing 9 stone 7 lbs instead of 10 stone.

YES! Loosing weight, I am on a low GL diet and it seems to be working, it's pretty much eating healthily and quit all the food "drugs" like sugar, coffee etc..
