Urinary incontinence treatment with Botox

Can anyone advise me about having botox injections for urinary incontinence. I've had 2 lots of bulking agents.. didn't work. Can't take any of the tablets because of adverse reactions. The only thing they've offered is Botox, but I'm really worried about the possibility of having to self-catheterise, possibly for months... and urinary infections.

I've read about so many women have adverse effects... is it worth it... once it's done, there's nothing anyone can done until it wears of... worried.

I know Botox helps with the muscular & neurological as go too MS Therapy centre [ don't have] .They see similar conditions but therapies not so expensive .Mine are connected to neurogenic bladder [ spina bifida]& heart failure.A course for them can help for a while .

I decided as have neurogenic bladder found in my 20s in relation to research[ spina bifida chronic cutis acute 3 weekly] that if for Urgency & infection good but for me 71yrs with breathing & heart problems no.

If you can't have the research try oxybutinin medication with antibiotics targeted if uti which for me was very good & acupuncture & reflexology .You need to try to find the cause .Sounds like cutis to me but the antibiotics need targeting & specimens properly dealt with NB Must Campaign Petition.
