Has anyone had a lidocaine infusion for peripheral neuropathy? My Pain Clinic mentioned it to me but I wondered about the possibility of a reaction to the infusion. I was told the lidocaine patches are unsuitable for me as my neuropathy is widespread. I have heard they are very expensive.

I was prescribed Lidocaine patches as I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet and lower legs and they did not work for me. It has also been mentioned to me to have a Lidocaine infusion but like you a bit concerned about the side effects but I keep telling myself that if I do not try I will never know if it will work. When I go back to the Pain Clinic I am going to ask more about it and then make a decision.
I have not taken it by infusion but have had it applied to the surface of my skin and it worked well
