I'm on Cilest. How long did it take people to get pregnant after stopping it?
Hiya.i was on Cilest 5years,then had an implant for a year,then mini pill 3months(which caused me ovarian cysts).after removing them last year (end of may) my dr put me back on cilest.as we were planning the baby i've quit the tablets in october.gp said it could take us 1-2 years to get pregnant but i dont think gp's know everything.i got pregnant after a month!!!and now i am 21 weeks and waiting for sexing scan tomorrow.so it was a shock for us as we didnt expect it to happen so quick.but everyone is different.fingers crossed for you.hopefully you wont have to wait long.xx good luck xx
Hiya TeacherH, I was on Cilest for 7 years before me and my husband decided about TTC. I came off the pill half way through my pack in the Feb then had a short light period 2 weeks after I finished then had bleeding again at the beginning of March but was only light again. I found out I was pregnant towards the end of that April. I took my March period as my LMP so they worked my dates out from that BUT my little boy arrived nearly 3.5weeks early so I dont know if I caught straight away or not and got my dates wrong.
Start taking folic acid now, I swear by it.
Hi, i was on cilest for a good few years. Came off last april as wanted to get my cycles back to normal before trying to conceive, started trying end of august and was pregnant by october!
Ive been told that if you come off the pill and then try and conceive you are very fertile for a couple of months. Doctors just advice you to wait to try so that your cycles are back to normal (just for dating reasons)
Hi I cant really help as I was on the same pill for 2 years when i missed a few tablets (dotted days) whilst on holiday as the pill was not taken at the same time every day I feel pregnant.
Me and my partner had'nt planned it at the time but we were over the moon to be parents when we found out.
Just shows not all pills are 100% and nor or doctors. My friend Claire started trying for a baby in September last year and came off the pill, by new year she announced she was pregnant. Think it just depends on your body and how it adjusts to not having the pill in your system.
Also just for future reference - my sister had the implant took our the middle of last year and shes pregnant shes 3 weeks ahead of me. xx Good Luck

I was on Cilest for 2 years. I came off it because my periods became really erratic - I'd have nothing for 2 months, then every other week! Two months later I was pregnant - but it took me another month to realisee as I had no idea when to expect a period....
