Looking for advice please....

I'm 30 weeks pregnant and have recently been getting a really strange 'dropping' feeling in my lower pelvis when I walk - it almost feels like what I would expect waters breaking to feel like, also feeling quite achy down there too. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I contact the midwife or is it normal i.e the baby moing into position?

I'm 30 weeks too (almost 31), but even though I have all kinds of strange feelings in my belly, all the action happens above the pelvis so far. It is probably normal, the baby is big enough to squeeze your bladder and everything else considerably. But as my midwife and doctor advised me to call whenever something seems strange to me, I'd advise you to do the same just to make sure everything is allright.

I'm 33 weeks and also experiencing a heavy, dropping sensation in the pelvis and it is disconcerting to say the least. I think squiggly explores different positions in preparation but can't be certain.

I would suggest calling your gp or midwife for accurate advice.

Thanks both, I think I'll give her a call. I keep thinking its probably normal and just getting ready for arrival time but it can still be worrying sometimes.

I have 2 children and pregnant with my third. The feeling you are talking about is your baby moving down getting into the right position to engage it's head. When this happened to me my bump dropped lower and felt alot heavier
