Change in baby movements: I am 28 weeks pregnant and my baby is usually very active, kicking and squirming lots but today he is quiet.

Just a few movements here and there. Is that unusual? Should i be concerned? Any advice much appreciated.

Think they say just as long as you feel movement 10 times a day, sounds likes baby is trying to get into its routine!

My normally very fidgety bump did this, I asked midwife and she said it can be down to stress, tiredness etc, but to count the movements, if less than 16 contact your midwife. Two days later he started kicking more again, but they were stronger, but in more of a routine which he now follows. I'm 29 weeks. :)

It is concerning when baby moves aren't regular. The above advice I concur with. My little squiggly wasn't a regular movement and she didn't have a routine as such so she would be active for a few days and then become somewhat passive. Now at 32 weeks she's moving like the clappers, she does have moments of being crazy busy with her dancing in there and then she tuckers herself out and has a quieter day! Trust your instincts and know you can contact your midwife or hospital who will be happy to reassure you! Good luck! :) x

I was told to eat or drink something really cold, like an iced drink or ice-cream, and lie on my left side for one hour and relax. If I didn't feel him move and was still worried, maybe call. I love being told by a hospital to eat ice-cream! Still it's a bit freaky, having to work out whether he's ok or not! Anyway he moved a little tiny bit. It was really late, so I went to bed. I felt him a few times in the night and decided to relax and be late in this morning and he's moving happily again! Kaleidoscope is right though, just trust yourself. It's all good x:)
