Hi Ladies

As some of you know, I have been unwell with a kidney infection, which caught me by suprise!

Good news, I'm feeling much better, the infection is on its way out and baby is fine :)

I thought I would share some advice with you that I got from the midwives on how to try and prevent an infection.

Drink 2 litres of water a day including two cups of cranberry juice

Eat bio natural yoghurt or a Yakult type drink - good bacteria

Wipe front to back

Do not use soap or deodorants on your private parts

Wear cotton knickers making sure they are not tight

When using a public toilet do not sit on the seat, crouch! Or take anti bacterial wipes with u.

#########################################################################

Signs to look out for

Burning or stinging when passing urine

Urgency and more than normal frequency needing the toilet

Small or large amount of urine passing, whatever is unusual for u

Vaginal cramps, shooting type pains

Backache but around the waist

High temp

So ladies I hope this helps you along in your pregnancies:)
