6 Weeks Pregnant and I have been having a lot of stomache cramps and aches. They come and go and are never constant but is this normal?

Should I be worried, I haven't bled at all.

I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks a couple of months ago but had bleeding and really strong pains. It's not like that this time.

Hi,

Congratulations!!

This can be a perfectly normal symptom of pregnancy. Your tummy and surrounds are doing a helluva lot to prepare at this stage.

However, if any of the cramps become severe or are associated with spotting or bleeding (particularly large clots), best see your doctor or take yourself direct to A&E. Just saying this as a precautionary note, since it sounds like you're having a perfectly normal early pregnancy.

I know its easy to go over each and every symptom (or lack of!!!) once you've experienced a miscarriage, but do try to relax and enjoy. (Easier said than done - I worried my way through to 21/22 weeks when I started to feel regular movement. I know I'd rather have found a way to enjoy the first half of my pregnancy!)

Lots of information on what to expect at each stage of pregnancy at nhs.uk/Conditions/pregnancy...

Hope this helps

yes totally normal. I had this until about 9 weeks. I think it is just your uterus starting to stretch and grow to accommodate baby

Hi, I'm 6 weeks on my 4th pregnancy, (lost the previous 3) i have had pains for every pregnany, the main thing to remember is not to panic, or get yourself too upset or stressed with the pain. The hospital have told me that paracetamol is safe to take, I didn't really want to take it, but when I did I took it when the pain was as its worst, and I didn't take more than two in a day. I have since learned how to control the pain and not to get too stressed with it, a calm mind is a calm body. Hope this helps. Good luck.
