Sadly my daughter has miscarried at what would’ve been 7 weeks although scan showed baby size etc more like 4-5. looking for reassuring really that others have gone on to have happy and healthy pregnancies as they want to try again when cycle settled etc Best wishes to you all in your journeys

I had 2 miscarriages before becoming pregnant with my eldest. When trying for baby number 2, I unfortunately miscarried again before becoming pregnant with my youngest. It was definitely a tough time and I suffered anxiety throughout my pregnancies with my 2 boys because of the miscarriages. But I do have two gorgeous boys who I wouldn't change for the world! I hope your daughter gets her take home baby soon!

I had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks - baby was only 6 weeks, we conceived again straight away and baby is now happy healthy 2 year old despite being born at 33 weeks x

So sorry for your daughter. If it was week 4 or 5 then that’s a chemical pregnancy which is even more common than a miscarriage sadly. I miscarried at week 12 on a natural pregnancy but went to on have a beautiful daughter through ivf. Sadly the stats are bleak. 1 in 4 women will have a miscarriage and 1 in 5 pregnancies that every woman has will be a no go, or miscarriage. And 1 in 4 are the known ones, whereas many fail before women know they’re pregnant. The reason why they don’t do tests after one miscarriage is that they’re so common, and even more common for a first pregnancy. Sorry to be the bearer of statistics and sadness but for me it helped to know all of this. The chances are your daughter will go on to have success.

Thank you all for taking the time out of your busy days to reply. I’m a bit out of date with terminology etc but appreciate all the information- I had read the term chemical pregnancies but now understand the differences. I myself lost a baby at 22 weeks and then went on to have my daughter so know how difficult life can be; mums just want to try and do the right thing! Very best wishes x

Hi, this happened to me last year. I had the miscarriage then got pregnant 1.5 months later. I now have a healthy 4 month old baby girl. Hopefully all goes well for her in the future x

Very sorry to hear about your daughters experience. I have suffered multiple miscarriages but I have 2 beautiful healthy children. My latest miscarriage was February last year at 8 weeks. We waited a month until trying again and I was pregnant July of the same year.

Very best wishes to your daughter. Xx
