Loosing mucus plug at 24 weeks

Hello ladies, has anyone experienced loosing mucus plug/ show early on in pregnancy? I was under impression that normally you loose it just before the pregnancy, so being 24weeks I am a little worried. I found an article saying that sometimes it comes out and then reforms, I hope that’s the case, wouldn’t want to not have that protection for the rest of the pregnancy.

Hi lovely. I would call your maternity assessment unit? Sometimes I think it can cause infection they might want to check you over x

Phone your midwife

Definitely phone triage. It's probably ok, but I lost mine at 34 weeks and gave birth the next day.

Hi ladies, so I had my midwife appointment today so decided to wait and let her know in person. She confirmed it is absolutely fine, the body will regenerate another one- no reason why it has come out though. If it was closer to the due date then yeah possibly body is preparing to go in labour, but not this early! :)
