Hello ladies

Four months pregnant. I am confused.. Where to exactly feel the baby movement. And how it feels like.. When I keep my hand below navel, I just feel like something is swirling.. But I don't feel any kicks... Please help me out with all your experiences.. 🙏🙏🙏

I got flutters like something tickles but it’s ever so lightly like tickling with a feather from the inside

Right now I try to feel.. I just feel some kind of bubbles... But no kicks... I am not sure whether that's bubbling is my baby movement or not... So little bit worried about my baby health

Bubbling could be the baby have you got any pregnancy apps it will give you a week by week guide of how big baby is so right now at 20 weeks is usually size of a bell pepper so only little so bubbling sounds about right if your ever worried though always contact your midwife or ring up maternity ward on your pregnancy pack that you have

I used Emma diary which was a good app

To me the first movements (at 16 weeks) felt like someone was scraping me gently with a fork. Because of many ivf treatments I knew for certain that what I felt was inside my womb (from just above pubic bone and- at that stage- up to half way to my belly button) but I saw no-one described it as such. When I told my midwife she said it was definitely a new description but she said many women describe it in a different way. Swirling sounds like a first movement but by this stage I didn't really feel it on the outside yet- it more like an internal sensation. After the fork scraping, the early kicks felt like little plops (like thick soup boiling gently). I did have my placenta at the front and when I had my 20 week scan, there were lots of baby movements I couldn't feel at all. You can always ask your midwife for more clarification. Good luck xx

Hi there, I would say it’s still quite early to feel movements. Many women describe feeling bubbles which is how I would describe it so the swirling you’re suggesting is likely movements. The kicks tend to come much later in my experience when they’re bigger and there’s less room!!

You won’t feel movement from the outside at this stage but as time went on if I put my hand on my belly my baby often responded with movement and then later kicks - such a lovely feeling. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy x

I didn't start feeling kicks until I was 24 weeks and even then it was like little pulses. I'm 33 weeks now and I can just see my baby rolling around. I remember I had like a tickling feeling in my stomach before the kicks which I think probably was the baby but yeah nothing definite until 24 weeks for me

I know what you mean. I don't think I really felt like I was pregnant until I started feeling movements but don't worry it will come in time. I know it sounds silly but try not to think about it too much otherwise you'll drive yourself mad 💕

I've had serval babies and it's different with each one. This time I felt it at 12 weeks. Like someone was thumping or flicking the inside of my belly. This baby is extremely active and strong. Some of my others have felt like butterflies, swooshing, or popping bubbles. It's been as late as 19 weeks before I felt anything.

If this is your first it may take a while for you to notice. If you have a posterior placenta it will take even longer to feel anything. Don't worry though, you'll feel it eventually.

Congratulations! The swirling you describe sounds like baby movements to me. I uniiallt was not sure when I felt something and said to my OH it could be gas 😂

Most websites describe movements as kick, punch, swish or roll. A swirl sounds similar to a swish/ roll Check out the Tommy’s website.

Then I felt what like a pop in my belly and that was different so knew then. Many women describe how the feel their first baby movements differently. It is later when the baby is bigger that you will feel more distinct movements that will not be easy to miss.

All the best
