Hi, I’m in week 6 of pregnancy and have had spotting of dark brown and then red over the last couple of days. I was feeling completely exhausted for the past few weeks but those symptoms have completely gone. I’ve not had any pain but I’m so scared that I’m having a miscarriage. Has anyone ever experienced this? This is my first pregnancy ever and I’m 40.

I’m sorry, so stressful. Lots of stories on here of women bleeding and being ok but to put your mind at ease I’d contact your early pregnancy unit. They will be able to scan you and see what’s going on. Wishing you loads of luck xx

Thank you, do you know if you can call direct or do you have to go through 111?

I think it depends on the hospital. For mine you report to A&E and they refer you on to the EPU but it’s worth giving them a quick ring to check in case you can go there direct. I hope it’s all ok x

My genetic doctor said: don't play with ultrasound on early terms. And how it was in my case it was absolutely different pictures every time: I come in clinic for abort, but according to ultrasound it was optimistic prognosis and I play again with mine and my close people feelings, but in night blood going as usual menstruation and in morning other doctor looking on ultrasound said: what here was!? You can go home.😢

Just go to a&e - as awful as it sounds (tell them it’s slightly worse than it is) as I’ve been sent home previously to ‘ride it out’ and see how it goes. X

Hi, I also faced similar situation in my 12 week pregnancy. But after taking bed rest it is gone. Now I am 7 months pregnant. This is my first pregnancy. And I was very worried about it too. So keep calm and get more rest. Do not worry. God bless you and your baby.

Dear, I am your age, brown spotting is not a good sign, for me it was two times of my two first pregnancies, unfortunately:(If you can do the test HCG two times do it in morning before eat and after two or more days if you can wait - must be dynamic of growing, it will be an answer on all questions.

Praying for you and your pregnancy💕

in reply to Mopsu
