Ultrasound tech couldn’t see baby feet and heart. Hospital scan in 2 weeks. Should I be worried? Has this happen to any of you and what was the outcome?

How far along are you? Was the ultrasound tech concerned at all? If its too early then not everything can be seen always.

Hi,I’m far along in my pregnancy, 32 weeks and I’m considered high risk because of my age (38).

Unfortunately I didn’t get my earlier scans.

The tech demeanor changed a little bit after the scan but she said nothing concerning to me.

The PA was very nonchalant when she told me. She blamed it on their equipment and the stage of the baby. I can say the baby was extremely active during the scan. I don’t know…. I’m hoping all is well.

I would contact your midwife and see what they say and ask them to look into what's happened. If they had any concerns then they can request any extra scans or see you to do a doppler check for babies heartbeat. Your circumstances of not having any previous scans so late on in pregnancy probably isn't going to have many people in the same situation as you, so you're probably best speaking to your clinical team about what to do next x

Hi there I had a growth scan at 33 weeks and asked to see the hands of the baby - they couldn’t be seen and I was told that later scans it’s much harder to see things as there is less liquid. So I wouldn’t concern yourself!

Yes thank you all. I had a scan today and baby girl was grabbing her feet! Everything was normal! 🎉
