I'm 5+6 and am so so sick. I haven't vomited yet but the constant churning is horrible. I had this for my last pregnancy but not this early on, I have a 2.5yr old daughter.
I've emailed GP about some more cyclizine as I'm taking that every morning and evening. It it's not really working. It helps a bit but I feel like I'm always nibbling on things! I'm not a huge snacker but am a bit worried about how much I've been eating! Weight is the same but I don't want to be constantly eating for the next few months.
Any tips or advise or reassurance would be great. I have had to tell a few friends as they have noticed me retching etc.
Is constant snacking normal? Not constantly but very very frequently, I'm eating every hour!!

Hi Hannah27, I was the same. Constantly feeling sick and couldnt eat normal sized meals. I too would gag frequesntly and found it hard to find a drink that didnt make me feel sick either. I was so down and exasporated. But constant snacking is the only way to abate it. Dont worry. I lost about half a stone but soon put it back on when my morning sickness passed at the usual time everyone said it would. I had tried pills from the doctor too which made zero difference. But I didnt realise at the time there were lots of different ones you can take so if yours arent working either speak to your GP again.
For me I realised that excess acid was compounding the sickness and I was prescribed Omeprazole which puts a lining on your stomach. It worked amazingly well for me. Good luck
I was being sick daily up to 8 times for 6 weeks I wasn't pregnant but was so I'll I lost 4 stone in 5 months and now weigh 43 kg cyclazine tablets didn't work I now have cyclazine injections up to three times a day and I've not been sick now for 10 weeks I've a NJ feeding tube but I'm slowly putting weight on , cyclazine is good for some but not for others may e ask for a different any sickness they will be one that works for you
Hi there, try to take some biscuits with ginger it helps. I have 3 kids and it helped me a lot. Recently I've been admitted to the hospital and I have gallstones, felt very sick and was given cyclizine. Within seconds I had experienced a small heart attack. My heart rate went over 130 and blood pressure was over 230. My tongue went numn, when the doctor arrived was told I've experienced some side effects which were actually common to this medicine. It might be 1 in 40 as they say but risk is high. I'd stay away if I were you, as you don't know what side effects this strong medicine can have for your unborn baby. All the best. Try something natural as well like mint tea.
