Am I pregnant?

I had decidual cast with bleeding for 3days in previous month after a week of my periods time. This month during my periods time I had brown discharge for 4-5days which was like very small tissues(kind of very small thread) but didn't get periods.. I did home pregnancy test previous month and this month couple of times but it has always shown a single line. What could be the probable reason? Is there a possibility of me being pregnant and test negative? My periods cycle is 40days.. please help me with your opinion and suggestions.. do I need to consult gynecologist?

It's very unlikely that you'd get a negative test and be pregnant.If your periods are not regular and you don't know if or when you're ovulating I would suggest you contact your doctor to arrange tests.
