Have you tried any pain relief such as paracetamol or ibuprofen? Lots of mums have success with teething granules sush as Ashton and parsons, teething gels or ambusol liquid on babies gums. In between using any of the above, cold veggies to chew on (cucumber/carrot sticks) can offer a bit of relief. Hope you find something that works xx

Ashton and parsons do a new gel version of the powders

The only thing that worked with my daughter was Calpol, the teething gel and a chilled teething ring with gel inside. Calpol was the most effective. I didn’t use the powders, they were full of sugar and not much else so I bet the sooth by giving babies a temporary sugar high, which isn’t great.

A friend had a local pharmacist who would blend her a gentle mix of clove oil and other ingredients and it was helpful for her baby. I wanted to get some of that but it was hard to find anything that was suitable below 1 years old and that pharmacist was in Ireland so completely inaccessible to me at the time. I would definitely not recommend clove oil neat for babies however!
