Brown discharge with cramps

Morning ladies!

I’m currently 5 weeks PP on Thursday and just started getting cramps with some brown discharge - I’m just wondering if this is normal?

I have my 6 week check up next week so I’m wondering if I should give docs a call sooner or just wait until then to mention it?

Cramps are like period cramps, I stopped EBF around a week ago and read that it could be because I’ve weaned baby off breastfeeding but unsure?

You should consult doctor immediately that is not a good sign and could be harmful for your baby.

How exactly can her brown discharge be bad for baby?! She's post partum.

Don't panic, I bled on and off for about 6 weeks after baby. Brown blood is old blood. If it's a small amount not particularly.smelly and feeling well then it's just quite usual. If you stopped breastfeeding you might be about to get a period too.

I think I’ve just started my bloody period 😭 I haven’t had it in 10 months why oh why lol. I can tell, cramps in tummy and bleeding now just like regular period. Phoned docs yesterday and she recons the same as I’ve stopped breastfeeding. Thanks for your reply hun xxx
