Reflux - if you need a holy grail!

The last 48 hours have been brutal!!

My LO ended up on the paediatric ward due to vomiting, not feeding and crying. They’ve diagnosed her with severe reflux!

If anyone else’s LO suffers with reflux this is now what we’ve found helps her thanks to the hospital.

- carabel in every feed

- omeprazol but in the dissolvable tablet form. LO takes it better and seems to work better. Give the full dose in the morning before morning feed.

- bottles and teats the hospital used.

Sterifeed Sterile Baby Bottle, Reusable, 250ml (8oz), Pack of 10 amazon.co.uk/dp/B071GL73YQ/...

Sterifeed Orthodontic Sterile Baby Teats - Disposable, Latex Free, Pack of 100 amazon.co.uk/dp/B071GL79PX/...

She is now a completely different baby! Constantly smiling, taking her feeds perfectly and burping and sleeping amazingly at night.

Hope this helps 😊

I’ve never even heard of them! Then when she was feeding in the hospital me and my partner was so shocked at how well she was feeding and how much she was talking. Just ordered a load from Amazon. X

Good luck! There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Mines 2.5 and was taking gavisconne till she was 20ish months. Ranitidine before they recalled it when she was 16 or so months (she wouldn’t touch omiprizol by that point). It is a tough place to be but they improve massively over time.

We’re still not 100% but we’re getting there! I’m hoping the omeprazole will keep working and won’t wear off or anything 😂🤞🏻

Fingers crossed for you. Hopefully not, we had ranitidine as that was the go to until this time last year, it seemed constant. I think omeprazol is pretty much the same
