Its a petition on change.org for women to be protected in late pregnancy from covid by being allowed to work from home. It's by a husband who lost his wife at 35 weeks pregnant.

Sorry for not putting details initially xx

My midwife told me that the current guidance is that pregnant women should be working from home from 28 weeks.

But this depends on type of job. I work for nhs so canโ€™t work @ home the only option for me was to start maternity leave @ 28 weeks which I have not been paid because I was zero contract. I am in UC and other half is supporting me too.

Signed. This is really tragic. Reasonable adjustments should be granted to all pregnant employees from the day they inform the line management. Health and safety regulations protect pregnant employees as Covid 19 is classed as biological agent. If they fail to complete a risk assesment and grant reasonable adjustments( eliminate the risk or be signed of from work without loss of pay), there is the next step of grievance procedure, and if this fails too, the employer can be taken to employment tribunal for discrimination on pregnancy and unfavourable treatment.Or get mediation/settlement with an employment lawyer. It is tragic that , on top of the challenge and stress with the pregnancy, some of us have to battle our employers for our protection, they have a duty of care for their employees and their babies.
