Puffy left ankle and foot in 3rd trimester (right side normal)

I'm 29 weeks pregnant with twins and have noticed that my left foot is slightly swollen/a bit puffy but my right is normal. It does hurt and it doesn't affect my leg (just my ankle and foot) Is this something I should be worried about? Even in the morning after lying down all night it's still puffy

Anyone else had this or any advise. Thanks

I would certainly speak to a midwife as soon as you’re able. How long has it been like it? Any other symptoms. It’s likely nothing but better to get checked out xx

I would actually be inclined to ring the NHS 111 service and speak to someone rather than waiting. Not worth taking a chance xx

Could be nothing could be something, I would speak to your gp in the am.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not really sure how long it's been puffy, I've only noticed it in the last week. I'll give my midwife a call in the morning and see what she says. Thanks again :)

I've been suffering with swelling since about 20 weeks and my bp, urine etc have been perfect so my consultant thinking it's where my babies r putting pressure on all my organs but I mention it every appointment but if your concerned I'd definitely speak to your midwife for reassure :) hope everything goes okay xx

Thanks so much KLF2, it's good to hear from someone who's swollen too 😂 Like you said I will mention it to my consultant (who I see tomorrow) - I worry about everything at the moment! 😬 x
