OK to give toddler raisins?

How safe are raisins straight from the box for a 13 month old? Are they able to chew them or do they swallow whole?

Would like to start introducing them but wondering if I should soak them overnight initially, so they are softer?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I gave my LG them at that age (and I was always terrified of choking). I just made sure they were all separated properly. I thought as they gave them at nursery she would be fine x

My LG is 12.5 months and has been having them for months now. Supervised and small in size xx

It’s fine, you might find that they come out in much the same condition that they went in

At nursery, they give toddlers huge handfuls of raisins with no issues. Majority end up on the floor though (either spat out or thrown)😊.
