Could I be pregnant?

My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex but he didn’t finish inside me. Is there any way to get pregnant from having ejaculate fingered into you? All of it went inside but from fingers. Please reply someone!

It’s always possible, even preejaculate can contain semen and if it comes into contact with your vagina it’s possible, very low chance but possible, if it was within 48 hours you can take plan B which you can get at any pharmacy or phone your GP, but if you want to continue having sex without a condom and you aren’t looking to fall pregnant, I’d talk to your GP about going on some form of birth control, hope this helps and you’re alright xx

If all of the ejaculate was put inside my vagina, is there a chance of me getting pregnant?

Yes, absolutely any contact with semen , even the smallest amount can give you a potential of being pregnant, I’m not saying this to scare you, but it’s true, this is why they advise to use barrier methods of contraception like condoms to prevent any contact of semen with the vagina. It’s a small chance, but if you were ovulating or due to ovulate at the time, sperm can survive for up to 5 days in the vagina, so there’s a chance

NHS Choices says:

It’s possible for you to get pregnant without having sexual intercourse if, for example:

1. sperm get into your vagina – for example, if you or your partner have semen or pre-ejaculate on your fingers and touch your vagina

2. your partner ejaculates near your vagina

3. your partner’s erect penis comes into contact with your body near your vagina

The risk of getting pregnant in this way is very low because sperm can only live for a short time outside of the body. However, if you’re not planning a pregnancy, it’s important to know that it’s possible to get pregnant in this way.

Do you know how long sperm can live outside? There was only really a few minutes in between ejaculation and insertion...

According to a few websites I’ve just looked at for you, on skin, it’s only dead once it’s dry, as long as it’s wet it has the potential to be motile and working, but once it’s dry, it won’t come back to life, but if it was wet, it’s likely it was alive and working xx

Direct copy and paste from one site:

On skin:

If you’re using withdrawal as a method of contraception, ejaculation should be aimed far away from the vulva. Otherwise, it is possible that sperm on the vulva or even the upper thighs could navigate their way into the vagina and cause pregnancy (11). But once sperm has dried, it is dead and cannot cause pregnancy even if it is re-moistened (12), in the shower, for instance.

I really appreciate all of your help here. The semen wasn’t dry when it was inserted into me so there is the chance of me getting pregnant I guess... it was all wet and inserted less than 3 minutes after

It’s a very very small chance, just for perspective the average couple has only a 20% chance of conceiving every month even when they are actively trying for a baby, but just in future be careful and consider the risks, like I said talk to your GP about contraception, it’s free in the UK and completely confidential, good luck to you xx

Yes but seems a very immature question/detailed statement to put on here - screams someone who is not ready to be having sex let alone worrying about getting pregnant -use contraception - if you don't like my answer don't use this site for asking questions - i'm not here to mollycoddle - there was someone posting very detailed things like this a month or so ago - they got removed as it screams either underage or complete naivety or a fake account!!

I don’t appreciate the judgement, if you don’t like the sound of my question please just don’t answer it... you don’t have too it’s completely by choice... this is a website for support and you are offering anything BUT!

For your information I did google the answers but I wanted a clearer answer from people on this website! I am allowed to do that, it’s not odd to want clarification on a certain event that has happened! You should not be so rude! Everyone else has replied respectfully! Learn some manners

If sperm goes inside you there is a chance that you could get pregnant. Is it slim but possible. If you are on birth control this is even less likely. If you aren’t it may be worth speaking to your GP or a pharmacist about the morning after pill. Could you discuss this with your boyfriend? As you sound concerned about getting pregnant could you discuss safe sex with him? Good Luck xx
