Faint positive not getting darker

Hi! I got a faint positive 2 days ago. I’ve tested 4 times since then (🙈 I can’t help myself) and the line isn’t getting any darker. With my first pregnancy the lines got noticeably darker each day. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and what the outcome was? I’m thinking it might be a chemical pregnancy but crossing my fingers that it’s not. Thanks

How many dpo are you? And are you late on? X

Hi, I don’t actually know because my cycle is a bit erratic. I did an online pregnancy calculator based on my average cycle length and my last period date and it said I would be just 4 weeks & 1 day pregnant. I know it’s very early. The lines are noticeable (they’re not so faint that you can barely see them). I’m just concerned that they’re not getting any darker over a few days. X

I did about 4 tests, 3 were very faint lines, I then bit the bullet and got a clearblue digital with how many weeks pregnant. Turns out yes, I was pregnant, but only 1 week! Give it a couple more days then retest with a digital one if you can get hold of one. Fingers crossed for you xx

Thanks for your reply. I had a really hard time conceiving my first baby so this is bringing back lots of emotions. I’m trying not to keep testing because I’m getting obsessed with analysing the lines! Will try to distract myself for a day or so then test again. Good to hear that your initial faint lines were positive. X

If you haven’t already then use a red dye test rather than blue. Good luck xx

I’m using red ones. I’m a infertility veteran (4 rounds of ivf) so have tried and tested a million different tests before & I agree that the blue ones aren’t great. Thanks for wishing me good luck xx
