Dating scan

Hi everyone,

The hospital gave me an appointment for my dating scan at the end of juin but I will be 16 weeks by then. I thought the dating scan was offered between 8 and 14 weeks.

Did anyone experienced the same ?

Hey there

My dating scan came through at 14 weeks but I just called my midwife and she advised she had accidentally put down the wrong date of my last period, she updated and then I got a new earlier date for when I was 12 weeks 3 days. Give your midwife a call and let her know and sure it will be updated for you.

There should be a Tel number for the ultrasound department on your letter, call them as it needs to be done before 14 weeks xx

Is it your first baby? My friend was having her second and hers was around 16 weeks as she was very low risk. If not maybe you should ask for it to be sooner xx

you need to have the scan between 12 and 14 weeks for certain tests to be done - get onto them asap and get date changed x
